Terrestrial Slumber.

Common Conifers are one of the first mushrooms I learned to identify and are my favourite to photograph to this day. They are simple in form, diverse in their tones of orange and as they age, their texture transforms. As I walk through the forest in the summer, I search for how different elements interact with one another and how slow change is happening everywhere. I imagine this Labrador tea plant gently greeting the mushroom as it emerges from its terrestrial slumber.
